报告摘要
In this presentation, I will highlight my research contributions in semiconductor detector development, charged-particle tracking, and heavy-flavor physics within large-scale high-energy physics experiments. My work includes the characterization of diamond detectors and next-generation monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS) developed for the ALICE ITS3 upgrade, based on detailed laboratory measurements and test-beam studies of spatial resolution, timing performance, and detection efficiency. I have also made significant contributions to the development of tracking algorithms and fast simulation tools for the ALICE, ALICE3, and ePIC detectors. On the physics side, I will present recent Run 3 results already approved from the ALICE experiment on charm-hadron correlations obtained using machine-learning techniques, which provide new insights into heavy-quark fragmentation and hadronisation mechanisms. Finally, I will discuss my ongoing and future research plans, focusing on heavy-flavor measurements at the LHC and the Electron–Ion Collider, combining advanced detector technologies with precision tracking and data analysis.
嘉宾简介

Shyam Kumar,印度籍,现为意大利国家核物理研究所巴里分部博士后。2018年在印度理工学院孟买分校获得博士学位。先后在中国科学院现代物理研究所、意大利巴里大学、意大利国家核物理研究所巴里分部做博士后研究。主要研究兴趣在于硅MAPS探测器特性、带电粒子追踪、探测器模拟(GEANT4/FLUKA)、重夸克强子化、QGP、HEP的机器学习(ML)等。至今已在Nucl. Instrum. Meth.、Phys. Lett. B、Eur. Phys. J. C、Results Phys.等国际主流期刊上发表多篇论文。
